Update Gimp/ some GEGL filters not working SOLVED

I notice that after the update of Gimp, some GEGL filters no longer work. Starburst and Polygon generator...anyone else having problems with it?

Thanks for thinking along.. Re-installed everything today... all dll. files downloaded. And it's resolved for now.

Hi Jappaloe63! Do you placed the gegl plugins in the directory: "C:\YourName\YourName\AppData\Local\gegl-0.4" ? Like it shows here for Windows. viewtopic.php?f=9&t=20475
That is where you should place the third party gegl plugin, not on the "C:\Program Files\GIMP 2".

No one else is reporting this on Gimp 2.10.34 but there was a problem with the latest 2.99.16 that I fixed last month.

The plugins would give an error upon opening them.

Someone other them me needs to learn how to maintain GEGL filters. I can see a catastrophe if I wasn't here maintaining them.

can someone please confirm if my starburst plugin works on Gimp 2.10.34 on Windows?

Yes Starburst works OK for me on 2.10.34.

All filters are in the correct folder. When I went back to the previous version of Gimp everything worked again.

Is this an installation of the latest Gimp 2.10.34 - version 3 (gimp-2.10.34-setup-2.exe) There seems to be a couple of files missing libicuin72.dll
libpcre2-16-0.dll

I do not know if this affects those GEGL filters, I do not use them but a possibility.

Keep your version 2 Gimp for now.

I think you misunderstood, no matter, stick with your older version of Gimp 2.10.34

) Not often I delve into Windows. This a clean install of the latest Gimp 2.10.34 and that GEGL starburst filter. Works here. As previous posts, check for old GEGL versions.

If you remove my plugins from the directory does Gimp start up normal?

This is from a very clean Gimp installation with nothing legacy remaining. Using your windows_top_twenty_gegl_plugins.zip
Effects works and the others, I went down the list one at a time. Seem to be ok, except I cannot see "common adjustments".

Answer for Contrast: Gimp works perfectly well (with or without plugins)

Common adjustments was deprecated long ago and replaced with this.
