Does anyone know of any scripts to draw text along a path without distorting the text?

When I use the built-in text along path functionality along a circle path letters like H are distorted toward the center of the circle instead of just rotating each letter along the circle. (Gimp 2.10.34)

Google recommended using ofn-text-along-path but I haven't found this script anywhere.
