supposing to have GAP installed could i call "Split image to frames" from a script ?

The reason why i ask
I want modify the cool "save + export" script from RobA to add a few option

Now
1 save as xcf
2 export in the same Directory (Win users may prefer word "same Folder" ) with the same name as png and or jpg

Planned changes

1 Save as xcf and/or as compressed xcf

2 Export for the web as jpg and/or png and/or PDF

3 Export animation as Flash (swf) and/or as series of png frames and/or GIF

The original script is so well written and commented that i have some hope to be able to edit it even with my scarce talent for scripting ...but anyway any help would be really appreciated ...
