I tried the script using the default settings

Image below I've increased 'Blur radius' to 33

Updated script below↓changed SELECTION-MASK to WHITE-MASK

What i was trying to accomplish in my earlier post was light showing through the shadow as a clear bottles shadow would do.

Too often we default to black for shadow color (first image), here's a little experiment using # 002b36 (second image).

The color (# 002b36) is from the Gimp Solarized palette.
