Stop Motion Animation

I set my digital SLR on a tripod and just did a bunch of still frames. Then I animated it using GAP.
I am way out of practice on pastels.

I think I'm the only one here that hates Flickr, but nicely done. I feel dumb though idk what pastels are.

Oh btw what's a stop motion animation, and how do you export an animation in gimp as a video???

Pastels are an artistic media in stick form, as opposed to paint. After drawing it looks like crayon, but then using your fingers you can blend the colors. It can be quite messy. I spray it with a fixing spray afterward, to keep the color from smearing or getting onto anything else.

For the video I did the following:

Video > Master Video Encoder
In Framerate drop down box, I selected 23.98
In Videonorm I selected Comp
In Parameters dropdown, I selected AVI1

Pastels sound kind of hard to get used to, and use (maybe it's cause I have the whole crayon thing in my head) I got a little bit of cash I'll try, and see if I can get me some, and see how they are, when I have free time.

What video editor do you use??? (Please say Blender, please say Blender)

Pastels work similar to chalk and charcoal, but they are oily, sort of. With blending, you can get awesome texture, shading, and depth.

Some of the pastel work I did, in college, was awesome. I have a lot of practicing to do to get good at it again.

Video editing? I did the entire thing in Gimp. I haven't used Blender that much. I had some great video software a while ago, but lost it all in the crash. I'll have to research what else is out there that is afordable (ie. Free)

How'd you make a video in Gimp???

I ordered some pastels online, my sis told me they came in the mail, but haven't got around to getting to them yet, let alone the computer.
