My first attempt with this one ... I made a clock as opposed to a speedometer just to see if I have learned anything. I'm not thrilled with the hands but not too awful for only having been using GIMP for a few days, thanks to the excellent detail of the tutorial.

I love Mike's speedometer, with the woodgrain ring and the leather dash! Sweet!

I've been wondering how you made those Droste clocks for quite some time now. I am hoping there is a tutorial for those in the future. I've played with the MathMap a bit but I can't quite seem to end up on "canvas" with the same image I have in my mind when I start. The more I think I have learned the more I find out I don't know. :oops:

I enjoy going back through the older tutorials and redoing them to see if I've learned anything. I haven't learned as much as I'd like but nevertheless, this one has been enjoyable every time.

But why do you assume these are mph?

It could be km/h, volts, liters of fuel...

The setting button is much too long (should be about half that size).

Otherwise very stylish.
