Every person I've ever shared your plugin with were in awe David. Your efforts are much appreciated even if not acknowledged as it should be. Thanks again for the continued updates and fun you've shared with many. Still wish the GIMP developers would continue this plugin and it will be a major decision not to upgrade if they decide not too. :)

Thanks Lyle.
We'll see if and how we can port G'MIC to the next GIMP API for future releases. I've submitted a talk proposal for the LGM'2014 conference, and if this is accepted, we will have the occasion to meet the GIMP team eventually.
Wait and see :)

G'MIC is part of GIMP in my honest opinion. It's a fantastic right arm of the GNU program. I honestly think the developers should figure out a way to make it a permanent addition to the default download package. It's that important to many, many GIMP users including myself. :)

Thanks Rod for your kind words.
I hope indeed that if several users show interests for G'MIC to the GIMP team, they will try to help a little bit to ease the port.

I'm quite sure that the majority of the gimp-chatters (if not the totality) agree with the hope to have a more strict "official" relation between Gimp and G'mic.
Rod, you may write down a sort of "petition" inviting all the gimp-chatters who agree to subscribe; then this "document" can be sent to the GIMP team

That is a great idea dinasset. I wonder where to post the petition though? My thought is G'MIC on Flickr. Maybe an article in the next Gimp Magazine to point folks there? Rolf at "Meet The Gimp" may even allow a article on his Blog.

The first step i believe would be to approach the developers of G'MIC and GIMP to see exactly what it would take to port G'MIC into future versions but at the same time allow David and the G'MIC Team exclusive Github G'MIC Master update management. Perhaps a mention at the next LGM?

I agree with the "petition".
