The GIMP download logo I have in my sig will not open properly in GIMP for me. I get scattered bits of color only. I right-clicked the one in my sig and downloaded it, downloaded it by ftp directly from the site. They all come up the same way in GIMP.

Here is a screenshot of what it looks like. I put a white bg layer to show what it opens as. Other png images open fine. Does anyone get the same results I do?

Luckily, I have an xcf file I saved of it that opens properly.

This is so strange. Why does it show properly on the screen?

LATER NOTE: I saved the xcf file as a png file and it opens fine. *whew*

Loaded the same for me, scattered colors.

Wonder if it's a Fedora OS thing. Since GnuTux and I have the apng plugin, wonder if it's that.

Two people have opened it. One with SUse Linux and one with Windows and it opens fine for them, and Firefox views it fine too.

The one in my sig has now been changed to the "good" png. I'll leave the other "bad" file for awhile before removing it from the upload site.
