I looked at your XCF file and you're not moving the back path far enough. You need to move it much more.

Look...

Red is Front Blue is Back...

When you run the inbetweener it should look something like this...

Well I went back again and freeged around and I got this so far but Wallace, when I merge the visible paths down, it turns red and when I turn off the eye it is just an outline. Anyway, at least I got this far. How do I get the other two parts, like yours, O's and Marcello's.

Can you stroke all those paths and post what you get?

Never Mind...

You shouldn't(*).... that's the whole trick... The stroke-visible-paths script uses distinct paths, so that it can create distinct selections to fill the successive selections (in "fill" mode) or stroke each path with a different color from the gradient (in 'stroke' mode).

(*) where are you been told to do so?

Thanks for the info ofnuts but I saw five or six excellent results doing it this way and he was the one that showed me in a small video.
Anyway, here is my next one and I think I am getting there slowly but I will try to hunt down a better font for this.
Do you use a single layer when you run the inbetween or multiple?

For this kind of application, one single layer is enough. Multiple layers are used when you want to do animations (which can be a variation of the technique):
