Looks great Carlos. Just wish you can get GIMP brush to paint with perspective like you can 3D programs. Maybe one day (since I'm too lazy to learn how to use 3D programs; lol). :)

Thanks Sallyanne. What you created is nice too, and so far I think everyone has added some really nice work to this thread.

All very nice Ornaments. Can't do one this year :( , dont have mathmap any more and am not downloading it yet.

@sallyanne, you don't need mathmap to make baubles, there are a dozen other ways, Make an elipse, fill it and run it through BRL is one way, using lighting effects is another, map to object, and other ways as well. The only thing I used mathmap for was to make the cap and that was 3 yrs ago.
Also, you can use any one of your map-spheres and colorize them.

Here's a christmas tree topper, created using the BRL method.

Of course I also had to create one using my favorite colors.

Thanks, lylejk. Blender offers greater possibilities for animations. The GAP has not been updated to new versions of GIMP.

Nice ornaments.

I created this one last Christmas and did post the completed image here, But in case you just want the bauble/Lantern for your own use then here are two transparent images, with snow and without.

Nice Molly!

The tree could use some shading and highlights. Maybe a darker version of the tree on a layer underneath would work to make the tree stand out more.

Thanks Wallace, I may just try that, I thought it was pretty drab too but didn't know what to do with it.

EDIT: I duped it and that made it fuller and darker towards the center.

Thanks Wallace, I will try curves tomorrow. I don't use it as often as I should but they do a great job on most things.

Yes... Using curves set to Alpha can help to remove the fuzziness in some images, as long as the image is on a transparent background.

Molly, your Christmas tree is very beautiful. Can I use it in my Christmas messages? Of course, I will give you the credits.
