Sure but i fear will not help much because only a little part of the paths there will be visible from the screenshoot (that window refuse to be maximized)
There is not a command i can use to copy the list of all the enviromental variables ??

I don't know what good this is, but here it is...

Well, you see the second box that says system variables - that contains the PATH. If you put your cursor in that box, you can scroll down till you see the variable PATH on the left hand side. When you click on it, you will be able to edit it.

Okay, I found it there... I feel like a fail...
I just downloaded the Zip archive for 2.7.2 and I have copied it to the desktop, for ease of finding, do I put that in the Programs Folder?

If you double click on the zipfile, it should ask you where to unzip. You then select c:\Program Files\ to unzip into. Once you do that, you edit the path like we discussed. Then download the python dll from the website and unzip that into c:\Program Files\gimp-2.7.2\python.

Then give it a go and see what happens.

I found a problem, I extracted using 7 Zip and got a total of 333 errors...
And nothing showed up in Program Files, can I just copy from desktop and paste there? I think this has to do with Vista's Permissions for everything

Willy my brushes form 2.6 work in 2.7?

Ok as you may see i added "Path" there but before i tried with "PATH" also without luck



And i did try both "Programmi(x86)" and "Program Files(x86)" just in case.

Anyway i may imagine a possible problem, when i tried to install the first time Gimp2.7.2 imported setting from 2.6 but, here may be a problem was a slightly hacked version of 2.6 (not my hack was
from Chaos & Evolution DVD.

Oh well i may clean up everything i did , move out gimp 2.6 and try again...but if you don't mind i will wait you packing the version with the huge preview plugin for the next attempt

I just got it all working, and 2.6 still runs guys, and PC, I hope you can get yours working for you, did you try restarting after making PATH?

OOPSS no but anyway now i want make a clean install...and i will wait for the 64 bit version with my plugin hack

I would really like it, if you could just go Save, and then put .png at the end of your file to save it as a PNG instead of having to export, cause that gonna get annoying.

the 32 bit version has already the old plugin hacked , just try map to object or gimpressionist

BUT...Don't expect a fancy preview , with option to zoom and pan, is exactly the same...cought... crappy preview then before, but instead to be smaller then a post stamp now is quite huge , from 4 to 5 times bigger

Found another thing going screwy, I close in single window mode (cause it is easier to use), and then when I re-open the toolbars are seperated again, but the Single Window Mode is still checked in Windows Menu, so I un-check and re-check and I am fine... Just figured I should mention this.

BTW if you have 2.6 you may install the save+export script see image comment for how to use

i didn't try to install yet the script on this 2.7 but i believe will work out of the box, the script should not contain any of the function now deprecated

and if you like the script say thank to RobA, idea was mine but would be remained a idea without his help

PS yes the single mode works but the implementation is unfinished so in same cases may do weird things
