Made a painting in Krita today for the 'daily spitpaint' challenge on facebook. You have to choose a topic and paint it within the time limit of 30 minutes. It's a really fun challenge.

I really like the textures in these! I like the color too. Very fitting for the themes!

baukjespirit: great job on both! i really like "game with death", you did the lighting so well and it's a beautiful composition - even if the subject is rather grim . i like the mountains in the "halo" painting very much too, the moon and halo a bit less - they look sort of too smooth together with those rugged mountains. of course, the moon is smooth for real, and mountains are often rugged, so it's a realistic look, but stylewise i think it works less well.

it's alwasy a treat when you post your paintings here on gc, you have a style of your own and it's exciting to see you develop your skills. i hope you keep coming in with new ones now and then !

Finally I get to see them. They are both good. I really like the 'halo' one too.

Since we're talking favorites here - For color and texture I love the halo one, for atmosphere I like the first one!

I can see what you mean about the halo one, since the mountains are really textured. Maybe it worked better if I added a little texture to the halo as well. Thanks for the feedback!
