GIMP Version: 2.8.14

OS Version: Windows 10
GIMP Experience: Basic Level

I have a basic understanding of how Gimp works, but am wondering if there is a script or plugin that would help to enlarge a small picture without getting all the grainy pixalation

I usually just resize the image, but that makes it incredibly hard to work with

I have G MIC and a number of other scripts and plugins

Maybe its not possible, but Years ago, I had a program called Printmaster, and it would enlarge pictures without loosing the quality of the picture

Anyone have any tricks or Ideas? Maybe there is something already installed in Gimp that does this ???

Open the image you want to resize.
Go to, Image>Scale Image.
Enter your desired dimensions.
Under the Quality section, choose Sinc (Lanczos3) as the Interpolation method.
This type of scaling Interpolation helps to reduce loss of quality.
However, there isn't much that can be done to avoid the loss of image quality, when scaling smaller images to make them larger.
It's always better to scale an image down then it is to scale it up.

you say you have G'mic, thus you can give a try to:
- Upscale [dcci2x] (in '/repair/')-
