I was working on IMG_4165 the ones with the buildings on either side and was wondering about how to adjust the vertical and horizontal.
How do I go about it ?
If I adjust the building on the left to vertical the one on the right is way out.
I think one of them is out of plumb, like the Tower of Pissa.

The two buildings are so close to vertical that I haven't done anything. The building on the left definitely has a kink about a third of the way up and above and below are not straight!

My attempts:
Roofs: I intensified the colours, then used a layer mask with a gradient above a layer where I had added a blur, reduced contrast and saturation to try to create an impression of distance.
Bridges: I selected the foreground and slightly reduced the brightness and contrast to reduce it's distraction (there are halos, but I hope a price worth paying!). Intensified colours.
River: masked separately the buildings right and left and reduced brightness and contrast. Intensified colours for the centre section and played with curves.
All three scaled and then sharpened.

Three beautiful photographs, so I think my results are different, but not better. The next photographs I offer will be really boring, so that they can definitely be improved!

I seem not to respect the images a lot. I mean that I only look for enhance sharpening or colours and leave other aspects as I really know nothing yet about photography and enhancement.
I like your results David. Also I like yours Dinasset, just that Lyle style is great. However it goes out a little dark for my taste, but nice anyway.

dinasset inspired me to try something different with the pot.
The cloud was just levels, less gama and National Geographic.

Oh dear Dinasset beat me to it with the circular glass frame ... still here is my attempt, just focussing on the pot and not it's surroundings.

I did try 'curves' to make the pot colour darker against my painted flowers but I am not sure it was really effective.

Nice Pot, Tom! I wanted to do the same (before changing my mind) but I'm not good in extracting the foreground.
OMG, nobody is capable to beat you on creativity!

OMG, Tom, & Dinasset: Very nice outcomes on the old pot. You guys ninja'd me on the ideas of the frame, blurred out background and coloring the flowers on the pot. Only thing I could come up with was embossing and bronzing. Hope it works.
