Hi Mo. Just passed the final Swedish For Immigrants exam. Had a whole conversation in Swedish with a banker a few weeks ago too. :cool

I know that this may be a bit brusque or inappropriate for the introductions forum but I'm in a time crunch working for a client and need some help.
I made a post in the help forum but it was deleted I'm guessing because it went into detail on the scripts and plugins.
My post in the scripts board has had no replies and since I'm new here I can't post links to exterior sites where I've made inquiries which expand on
what I've done so far and the scripts I'm using.

In short....I need to modify a useful script I found for batch dividing multiple scans of up to 8 pictures.

Photoshop failed me so I've turned to GIMP and the script in question is great except for 1 major problem: it does not preserve filenames from the
source, which is a must because with over 300 scans and upwards of 2500 individual items within them there is not enough time to hand catalog
each picture before my client's deadline of Monday. Adding to the confusion while attempting to modify the code (the last ditch effort since I'm no programmer)
I've managed to mess up my system's file associations for .scm files which are what GIMP is running its scripts off of.

I've got about 24 hours to finish this project (Not my irresponsibility but the client's deadline to auction his baseball cards) so that the client can meet a property
tax burden to stay in his house, he's in his 70's and isn't likely to find someone else to do this work on time so I'm the last hope.

Where Can I begin to get some help for this? If not this forum which one can I go to? If I can get some help on this problem you'll not only be helping an old dude (possibly) stay out of trouble with the taxman you'll actually be adding some pretty sweet functionality to GIMP... at least in my humble opinion...open to alternate routes as well if you know of any.

File comment: Script menu allows editing title.....need to find a way to automatically incorporate original title such as ("old_file_name_1"...2...3..etc.)
