Hello to all.

I try to use Indexprint in Linux Mint 18. I checked the installatión for the recomended programs. The Gimp say me:

"Error de llamada para el procedimiento «file-jpeg-load»:
No se pudo abrir «/home/ricardo/documentos/fotoensayos/pasuncha/p2.jpg» para lectura: No such file or directory"

If i try to star gimp with the terminal, it say:

"(gimp:8635): GEGL-gegl-operation.c-WARNING **: Cannot change name of operation class 0x2474110 from "gimp:point-layer-mode" to "gimp:anti-erase-mode"

(gimp:8635): Gimp-Widgets-CRITICAL **: gimp_device_info_set_device: assertion '(info->device == NULL && GDK_IS_DEVICE (device)) || (GDK_IS_DEVICE (info->device) && device == NULL)' failed
GIMP-Error: Unable to run plug-in "indexprint"
(/home/ricardo/.gimp-2.8/plug-ins/indexprint)

Failed to execute child process "/home/ricardo/.gimp-2.8/plug-ins/indexprint" (Permission denied)"

Some idea for a solution?

Thanks.

You should make indexprint executable (chmod +x ...)

The messages sasy that it cannot find the images. Are they actually in the stated directories, and what are the access rights to the whole path?

Yes, i think i am in the actually directory. I changed the permissions for all: -rwxrwxrwx
and the result is the same

What says the command:
file /home/ricardo/documentos/fotoensayos/pasuncha/p8.jpg

and if you have the imagemagick toolbox
identify /home/ricardo/documentos/fotoensayos/pasuncha/p8.jpg

Generally if Gimp can read the photo so can Indexprint but be carefull with accents, cedille and so on. Avoid them just use plain characters.

This is the part of the code generating the message. Only the relevant code shown here.
-------------
try:
.....
img = pdb.gimp_file_load(filename,filename)
except RuntimeError:
Log('Not a valid image: ' + filename)
.....
------------
And as you can see it is a Gimp function I called and generating the error.
