You guessed it; I'm still on my binge. lol

Used G'MIC's Super Pixel to get the wicker mesh effect. Started out with Layer Offset x/2, y/2, then followed by G'MIC Euclidian to Polar, then ran super pixel, then did inverse Euclidean Polar before going through the wicker process. Next time, I'll make the seams blend before doing so (just lazy now that I'm a year older today; lol). :)

You've aged a year in only a day??? You'll overtake me soon! :hehe

Love the willow work. I always wanted to learn the traditional Somerset art of withying (making willow sculptures)

Me too Erisian; also wanted to learn to work with wrought iron and glass. If I could do my whole life over again, I would probably have tried to join a glass guild. Maybe, in a parallel universe, I have. :)

Thanks Lyle. I thought I would give it a try but in each step I'm not sure what is it supposed to look like so I think this is going to be a big fail! Will play anyway. Could not find Super pixel but then realized that I did not upgrade to the current G'MIC.

Well, Lyle, I tried but got a colossal mess! I just don't enough to do this without knowing the settings for the filters and the in between steps. Still, I enjoyed giving it a try.

The default settings should work but I just chose a size of 12 instead of the default 16 as memory serves me. As for the rest of the settings, they are the defaults. Don't forget the anisotrophic smoothing step. Regardless, samj's in the process of updating the wicker preset to include super pixel. See link below. :)

Used a different deformation/recovery technique for this one (thus no cross seam this time). Also added some texture overlay. Yes; still having fun on my b'day. lol

Also neglected to mention that I add a convolution step (original>dup>run bilateral smoothing on top layer set to grain extract, merge down) on the second to last step to add detail (last step being another run of gradient norm) setting that result to Grain Merge on the second to last step to add detail (last step being another run of gradient norm; duplicate Convolution layer as needed to get more detail). I do these renders at the seat of the pants so forget the little details sometimes, but this is a big detail so I ask for forgiveness. :)

Lyle - Some great 'deformations' here - looks like something new for me to try out!

I tried, but failed miserably. Lyle, your knowledge of how to do these things amazes me.
