Hi gimp users

I run the effect - Sharpen with Resynthesized.

It takes a lot of time, a lot of time, a lot of time, ...........

Is there any solution to the problem?

Doron.

Unfortunately, no. It is a very slow script since it relies on Resynthesiser and your results will be mixed as well. I recently used this method for a deep dream render fyi (a few other things too for cleanup). :)

I tend to agree with Lyle.
However,
the size/dimensions of a given image,
also has an effect on how long it takes to complete.
Scaling the image down to a more appropriate dimension,
for the photo's intended use.
Could help to have it work quicker.
This script seems to work on a 1 to 1 pixel basis.
Less pixels my,
in most cases,
equate to faster completion times.

I tried this and size does matter. Smaller sizes require less time to process. The quality sucks pretty bad however. I don't know why the need for such a filter???

I don't usually sharpen images, unless I downsize. I prefer to shoot in the proper F-Stop/Shutter Speed for the occasion. That said, What's wrong with "Unsharpen Mask"?

Resynthesiser has been one of my favorite plugins over the years, but I have never showed a decent result using Sharpen with Resynthesiser. I would be interested in knowing how you used it to get a good result.
