Excellent artwork, Griatch, especially in the light/shadow implementation.

The on-duty geometry nazi thinks the shadow of the nails is a bit too low (and a bit too sharp given the relative size of the light source) :) Nice face...

At risk of repeating myself about your work, I think this is fantastic. Agree with Ofnuts about the shadow though.

Thanks for the comments!

Thanks! This backstory was on the shorter side but in an earlier version her grin had an almost wicked quality to it that really felt like a ghost story. I changed the mouth later but the overal feel of a spooky story remained.

Thanks, it's fun experimenting with light.

Yeah, I put in the glowing light orb-thing last and it ended up a bit lower in her hands than I planned for the shadows; they should really be a bit further up on her chest. Not sure about the sharpness, but I think you have a point there, I did a quick raytracing test using a sun-like light source (parallel rays), but the shadow with have a different quality as it ended up being a spherical, local light source instead (diverging rays). Thanks for the feedback, I'll try taking a second pass on the hand-shadows.

Thanks! I might go back to tweak that shadow a bit. :)
