Ok I cant find a place where this is. I seem to have closed my text dialogue tool box on the left and dont know how to get it back. I realize there is a floating text box while in editing but have yet to learn how to use it. Can someone tell me how to get the other back please?

In Edit>Preferences>Toolbox make sure Text tool has an eye icon on.

Maybe I didn't get you right - did you mean Text Tool options dockable dialog was missing?

I assume that is what it is called. because in the place where it was, it says that dockable dialogue boxes can be dropped there.

I use text a lot in gimp so it is usually in the same place. While using it today I had a small window pop up and I closed it thinking it was another window I had finished with. Seems I may have closed it earlier.

I right clicked on text in the tools menu and it came up in the top right tab...

Hi all

In my gimp windows installation I can't find these options on the image attached (Buttons, Logos...). This image I get it from Gimp Docs

It's not the default from installation?

I have seen videos of people using GIMP that has these options.

What I have to do to have it too?

Regards

I believe you would need to look here under File > Create.

That particular set of scripts are from an older version of Gimp - version 2.8 They were dropped from Gimp 2.10 because generally out-of-date with modern image sizes / quality requirements.
