Two interesting threads:

1. Official tutorials on GIMP plug-ins and GEGL filters development by Jehan:
https://discuss.pixls.us/t/official-tut ... ment/48371

2. Script-fu V3 plug-ins by programmer_ceds:
https://www.gimp-forum.net/Thread-Scrip ... 5#pid43135

However, the thread on gim-forum.net raises a few doubts for me:
1. Why should the ability to edit script-fu with Gimp enabled be adequate to the broken script-fu refresh function? It's a completely different functionality (allowing you to load scripts you need at a given moment) but I know better/easier to remove something than to fix it.
2. What does the lack of script-fu refresh have to do with python plugins?
3. What's the point of placing script-fu in the plg-ins directory?

I don't count on the programmers' response (because it's even hard to write: yes/no/later), but Your opinions.

I thought Script-Fu Refresh was going to be fixed after 3.0?

Bugs that seem to have been skipped that may still be present in GIMP 3. This is not to say it won't be fixed but
GIMP team seems to be not addressing them.

After this commit GIMP's passthrough blend mode with an empty layer now behaves as an adjustment layer. Which means it is safe to say GIMP now has an equal to Photoshop Style adjustment layers.

Today GIMP's team made a lot of progress and surprised me.

Refresh Drawable bug was solved today, but its merge was rejected in a favor of Jehan's own personal commit.

This new issue I found triggers a crash in GIMP 3 RC3+Git and must be solved before release.

It is related to passthrough layer groups and filters.

Option doesn't even look to be there anymore. Dont matter. I can do this manually, easily if I want.
Just wondering why now, if I was the only one who had the crash why has it now gone? Surely I didn't imagine it

Image upload is the third tab.

The passthrough layer group bugs that I reported are solved. So is the "other minor stuff".

This is all that is left.

Layer Mask are ignored in certain scenarios
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gimp/-/issues/12985

Render filters clip in certain scenarios
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gimp/-/issues/11409

NDE filters do not respect scaling or being transformed
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gimp/-/issues/12596

Partial clip with layer boundaries
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gimp/-/issues/11006

and that other new bug where merging warp transform or unified transform crashes GIMP

and here is the thing. GIMP 3 might release even if these bugs aren't solved.

GIMP's team is planning to release GIMP 3 on Sunday or Monday even if the bugs above are not solved. Though they might try to solve a few of them in the mean time. I predict Monday. Once GIMP 3 is released this thread will close as a success story.
