Hi,
I would like to introduce myself to your group. I joined last month looking for ideas on using Gimp.
I am a mentor for a seniors computer club in Penrith New South Wales Australia. I have been running the class for 5 years and my subjects were various free or open source software. My class is called 'Using the Software'. As you can imagine covering different types of programs each week you soon start to run short of software. My new venture for the class is using Gimp.
I started on Gimp in May this year, (2010), I have obtained many ideas and tips from 'Gimptricks' and others on Youtube. All the senior in my class which there are 20, restricted to the number of computers in the room, have enjoyed using Gimp. I hand out an easy to follow print out of the procedure for each task. I have also made some tutorials on youtube, the first one was a little hard to make as I find it strange talking to a computer screen. The link is...

Until next time, thanks for taking me on board.
