Is it possible to adjust height for any object by adjusting brightness, or even color for height?
Anything black would be flat.Anything white would be the tallest.
Example -
I create a grid of a checkerboard.All white squares would be the same height and i could adjust them up or down.
Every black square would remain just flat surface. Now if i added a few 50% gray areas to the grid, those would be half the height of the white or tallest squares, and by adjusting the white squares the gray would also adjust to keep it's 50% height.(unless i lock that shade of gray)
And i could keep adding different shades of gray and have different heights.By adjusting one the others would adjust (unless i lock that shade of gray).
Of course this would work on any shape as the effect is controlled by the shapes brightness.

So i could effectively create a sort of city scape or 3-D graph.

Can the Gluas plugin help with that? I don't have it installed but it looks interesting.

Actually the L2Height.exe for windows will create the height effect.I actually just re-compiled this plug-in). But i want the 3-D effect from the script 3Diffy added to it. And i would like to be able to adjust each shade of gray.
Either that or add more functionality values to the binary C plugin.

It is kind of fun to play with.

I just wish i could figure out a lighting effects layer that would make objects look more 3-D'ish with this filter.
