Thanks PC; Thought I would create a seamless texture too (because I could; lol). This one was much harder then I though it should have been. Used a lot of different (don't ask) techniques for this one. Going to share this concoction elsewhere too, so using the Shack this time.

Why not a sphere as well.

Try mapping the designs to a cube (box)? I think in G'MIC they can be made into a pyramid.

So now you are a pusher for my drugs he PM? lol
