I just found this site while looking for something regarding GIMP 2.8.2, which I just got a few days ago. I forgot what I was looking for. I get distracted very easily. Anyway, I just got GIMP 2.8.2 because of some difficulties I've been having with my computer, so there's a good side to everything. I LOVE the adjustable brushes.

I'm a non-professional, just because I love it, artist. I spend rather concentrated periods with GIMP, and then move on to other creative endeavors (mainly needllework). I'm trying to use my GIMP designs in my needlework. I also GIMP just to relax. I created a large folder of patterns, but I may have lost them in my computer problems. I'm still loking in my back up files for them, but they weren't in the GIMP folder. Oh, well, I will be making more. I also make brushes a lot. I will eventually share everything on my website.

It's nice to find a place where I can shat and share when something about GIMPing excites me.

Welcome to Gimp Chat airycat. Make sure your sig does not exceed the max size of 500 x 150 when you up load it so it will accept it. If you go to User Control Panel (top right corner of this page) then go to Profile, there is a place to upload your sig in a jpeg or png format. Look forward to seeing some of your work. and glad to have you with us.

airycat: welcome to gimp chat! so nice to hear you do needlework, i love all kinds of needlework (well, at least i love looking at it, i'm too lazy to actually do it myself, except for the mirror embroidery i use in my jewellery making) and i think using gimp for needlework designs sounds really interesting .

Thank you for all the welcomes! I figured out how to add a signiture. I just threw it together using one of my patterns (I found them!) and my life quote. I made the avatar by shrinking a picture I made just to destress the other day.

I'm going to look at the art pages to see what others are doing.
