inspired by molly's result i tried to make a variation

this one has Satin along the edges

no, that's not too green! you just need to change the colour of the curved glow to a lighter and more yellow gold colour - nothing really beats green and gold. i liked that background too.

here's a bunch of paisleys made with the tutorial just to see if it could be done. it could, as long as you used a bit different settings to make the inner glow.

Perfect Akros - you got every step as its supposed to be !

Oh and i almost forgot to comment on AnMal's paisleys.
They look really good, maybe a bit empty in the middle, but i understand it was just a test.

Nice composition and atmosphere with the purple and glowing colors !

more paisleys. had to make the inner glow in three steps because the paisleys are different sizes.

this tutorial came out of a mutation of the Perfection PS tutorial and my struggle trying to understand the satin effect

looking at this thread i wonder where Akros is....

That satin effect still is a bit vexing at times, but I'm catching on to it.
