I've been eyeballing this PS-Illustrator crazy tutorial for quite some time now http://psd.tutsplus.com/tutorials/text- ... lustrator/
Seems difficult to follow and long (it says 2 hrs, meaning it would probably take 3).
This tutorial and recent post by Wallace got me inspired to create this really quick (20-25 minutes top) glossy text.

I've been thinking of doing a video tut for Gimp Chat members who have never used Blender before.

Let me know if you're interested. All I need from my end is a good microphone and 1-2 hrs of free time (probably next weekend)


BTW. Has anyone tried this PS crazy tut? Seems doable with GIMP-Inkscape.

That is very cool. I would love to be able to do that in Gimp alone, as I know I'll never get around to learning another program.

OK, i'll make a tutorial. :)

In that tutorial i'm gonna use the same typography render with slightly changed environment.
Under the blue Blender sky.
