Yeah, my Gimp would freeze up nearly every time I opened this banner to work on it.

I am sure it will go up Wallace.

It would be nice to see it displayed.

Thanks a lot Rod.
It took me a while to complete, due to lots of Gimp freeze ups while making it. Good thing I had the auto-save turned on.

Thanks guys!

What do you think of my spelling of the words "Season Greetings" in my GC banner? Should it be "Season’s Greetings" or is it okay as is?
I'm not sure my spelling is correct.
I searched for the correct way to write it, and could not find anything about the way I've written it.

However I did find this...
"Season’s Greetings", refers to multiple holidays celebrated in one combined season, so to use an apostrophe and “s” to show that you are sending greetings of the season.

Is this correct and should I change it from "Season Greetings" to "Season’s Greetings", or just let it remain as is?

I'm not very sure about it either, but I think everyone get the message that's intended.
No one really says 'Season's Greetings" to one another anyway.

This is what it would look like if I changed it... Not mush difference really, except now 'Season's Greetings' is not centered as it once was, due to adding the apostrophized 's'.

For some reason, the banners aren't showing up for me.

If your using AdBlock Plus it might be preventing the banners from showing. Enable AdBlock Plus for Gimp Chat.

That's odd... I made a Christmas banner, but I haven't seen any Christmas banners at all.
I wonder what the issue might be. :?

I just figured it out. I recently set up a proxy, called Privoxy. Disabled the proxy, and it worked fine.

Wallace,

This thread (and that post from me) is a year old. I'll try to get those Christmas banners up soon.

We are still two weeks away but it is about time for some holiday decorations in here. :bigthup

Yes I realize that your post in regards to the Christmas banners being up was from last year. I thought something was wrong. I've been looking for any and all problems that might cause what I thought was occurring. Needless to say, I didn't find a single issue. :hehe
Yes I agree with you about the GC decor. ;)

All the banners are so wonderful, I feel a bit guilty not having the time to make any, while I am getting to enjoy seeing them all.

I am in retail and it's that time of year at work, not to mention trying to keep up at home with more hours at work. I am still not done with Xmas shopping and wrapping, and have no more days off until Xmas eve. I only have a couple hours in the evening for keeping up with all my chats and forums, not enough to play with gimp.
