There has been some conversations lately about the difference between Vector graphics and Bitmap graphics. I thought I'd post this for anyone that doesn't understand the difference yet. A bitmap is just a flat image with a lot of colors. A vector however consists of hundreds ans occasionally thousands of elements. Each one of those elements has to be made individually. In explaining the difference to a friend of mine I made this little movie. I've posted a link to it 'dissecting' a vector. I think if anyone who doesn't quite grasp vectors watches it they will understand them better. The movie is >right here<

Lots of detail there, did you make the watch image?

Ha, I wish I made it, it's included as a sample in Xara designer. I think Rod has that too and probably has that same image. I can't even draw a stick person. I did manage to draw a passable carrot once. That was speeded up 1.5 x, I was having trouble with filesizes.
