... that is why i remarked that is already implemented in many FOSS programs , may even be something ready to be quickly adapted to gmic

From the only example i have seen that proposed for gimp risks to be a delusive implementation
(but will be idiotical judge only on the base of a single ,poor mock up that i have seen, it is possible that to be cheap and cheesy was the mock up and not the future real thing )
You too know better and already working examples , I am trying now to remember the names of a graphic tool you make me know, both with a nice and clean node composer... oh well i hope you get a better memory for sure it was open source
