Be aware if you use the Color to Alpha method, your logo will have transparency as well. The background color will affect the colors of your logo. There are ways to fix this though.

Could you please tell me the ways to fix this problem please Bug Sampson... in case I need to deal with this in the future ?
Please and thankyou !

It's probably better if you avoid using Color to Alpha on the whole image, like Ofnuts suggested. It still won't look that great. The best solution would be to recreate the image on transparent layers using the original underneath as a guide, if you can. Of course, this isn't always possible. When it comes to logos, it's also probably better if you use a vector application in the first place.

I didn't mention it but I do use "quick mask" quite often on a difficult background. I used Layer mask on these pickles to remove the background.

To simplify this process, I created a script a while back:

This works if the background is one even colour. There are some sliders to adjust the amount the edges get cleaned up to allow for source images with either sharp of soft edges.

Ha ! I already have that script and didn't get around to trying it and know exactly how it worked.
Just tried it and it does the job perfectly... and so fast ! I set a keyboard shortcut for it.
Thankyou very much for that valuable script RobA that I will use very very often !

Thanks ofnuts and Bug Sampson for info !
