Importing Curves presets Error

I am trying to load some of the curves presets that I found in one of Draconians Tutorial. I downloaded and extract to a folder in curves called New curves and then went to gimp and opened the curves selection and clicked the little arrow. A box opened asking if i wanted to import or export and chose import. It then asked me to browse to where it was at. I did that, and when i clicked on the first one i got this error message "Error while parsing 'C:\Users\Beth\.gimp-2.8\curves\New Curves-1\New Curves\Super Chrome.jpg' in line 1: unexpected character '\377', expected character '(' - fatal parse error" What did I do wrong?

Should i not have created the New Curves-1\New Curves\ folder?

Demetria, did you put something which is not a curve preset in you folder?
Curve presets do not have extension .jpg!

Super Chrome.jpg seems to be an image not a curve preset

Put curve files in Gimp user folder (.gimp-2-8\curves).

ty for the responses. These presets were from Draconian's Chrome-Metal Wurx series. I think i extracted them wrong or something. Because what i ended up with in the curves folder were files with .jpgs. I am sure that i extracted them wrong. How do you load presets?
