Multi-effect Text Script V1.1 will create color animated text using a variety of user selectable effects.









Just enter the text and select the effect type.

The script will generate 4 frames with the selected effect.

Lot’s of variations can be achieved by adjusting the effect tweak sliders and scatter effect.

Simply save the generated text frames as an animated .GIF and you’re done.

Selecting Raw Layer will display all raw layers only

Clicking off animation will display a single frame, flattened to the background.

*NOTE: Scatter-HSV is handled differently 2.4 that it was in Gimp 2.2.
When using Gimp 2.2, set scatter lower (40-60)
When using Gimp 2.4+, set scatter higher (140-160)

Installation
Download and copy the script to your Gimp /scripts folder, then refresh.

The scripts will be located under File/Create/Logos (gimpchat.com)

Installing now i hope would work with 2.7

The multi-effect text script is pretty versatile. You don't have to use the animation option. By deselecting animation, selecting no effect and keeping raw layers, it allows you to quickly create nice looking text with whatever font, stroke, color, shadow and offsets you need.

i downloaded the file..it found the logo (gimpchat) then multi effect text,but when i click on it,there is nothing that opens

What version of Gimp are you using? I've only tested it on Gimp 2.6.x and no one has mentioned whether or not it works on newer versions of GIMP.

Check on your taskbar to ensure it didn't appear hidden for some reason. You should see the dialogue below.

Yes,I see that,but I don't see the 4 options You described :
bling text,glass effect,lava logo and mulit effect

This is the multi-effect script. Those are 3 other stand alone scripts. You'll find those sticky'd in the Gimp Scripts and Plugins section.

You can select multiple effects in this script using the drop-down box. The default is: Cubism.

I like the colors in the plasma effect.

Almost like Fall colors aren't they O?
I couldn't help but think it looked like a bunch of leaves in the wind.

Kind of, yes, Rod. We need to get plasma to give us more oranges, browns, yellows and greens.

Sorry I know it's a long time since the last post here. But somehow I can not get it to work in the newest Gimp version. Did anyone have luck gettint it to work and could get me some pointers?
