Didn't like my roman city sketch anymore, so I started a new painting Though I want to practice more on humans and animals, nature is a lot easier for me to paint.
I'm also starting to like my tablet more

Excellent work. The perspective is spot on and the colours are really good. I love that tree shape - in fact I'm jealous! I'm hopeless at environment.

Thank you Erisian, he4rty and Mokonafan! I've added a new WIP, though I don't feel like the perspective is right. I feel like the castle/fortress is way too big.

I suppose it depends how far back you want it. The rocks look close to the fortress so at this scale they could do with being a little bigger if you are going for realism. The image has an almost fairy tale quality to it though so the perspective isn't too important - it would work well as it is in that context. The colours and textures are excellent and I love that tree even more now. You're doing a great job. Please don't give up on this one.

I think I'll back those mountains up a little, the perspective still bothers me a lot.. and I'll try not to give up on this one haha, though it is difficult, I already have an idea for my next painting
