Drawn in photoshop because we're forced to use it on school xD Though I almost never listen to my teachers, photoshop isn't my best friend :hehe

That is really good. You've captured the reflections in the eye really well. Its sometimes healthy not to listen to your teacher. :hehe

Does your art teacher also say Anime isn't art? I know that's the big thing with art teachers these days. - GIMP FTW!

:rofl :lol

They actually forbid students to draw it like it's the antichrist of art.
I read it all the time in comments and even videos from kids who draw really well.
It's stupid!!!

Very nice eye BaukjeSpirit. Tell you teacher art is in the eye of the beholder. Doesn't she know that?

That's really good! And nobody I've talked to in the art department at my college seems to know what The GIMP is.

I really envy you now BaukjeSpirit - you can do landscape features really well without GPS. I don't even have the patience to draw a tree properly.

Thank you everyone  I also want to add that they forced me to use tutorials, so this is one of the first time that I've really used tutorials (though I tried to give my own spin to it, and not try to follow every step from the tutorial). But it's a nice way to get a little used to photoshop :)

Erisian:
I really enjoy to draw anything nature related a lot more than buildings and humans and such, don't really know why though, it's just easier xD

Mokonafan:
Yes.. every friday (when we have drawing lessons) he talks about anime not being art :hoh

molly:
I agree with you! Art is a thing that is different for everyone and can be interpreted in many ways.

merrak:
Two of my teachers know what the GIMP is, but still they'd rather want me to use photoshop :/

Here's something very different than usual, I did an attempt at sketching (if you want to color it, feel free to do so, i'm too lazy for that xD)
I guess this is one of the first time without using a reference.

For the first time without reference that is good. I used to enjoy painting nature and landscapes but I always needed a photo to work from. I can do reasonable figures without reference.

Nice work on the other images as well, I can remember trying to paint clouds and something which you would think should be easy is actually really hard, so good job.
