I am having t-shirts made for GIMP and sending the proceeds to the devs. :)
The tees will be 20.00 plus 5 dollars flat shipping fee. The GIMP team will receive 12,000 for 1000 tees sold. :)
I will have the info for ordering a tee up soon. The website is being designed right now for the fund raiser set up.

This will run for only 1 month and a minimum of 20 tees have to be sold in order for the printing company to make any at all. 20 tee's sold equals 60.00 for the GIMP team.

Some images and previews.

Sizing will range from small to 4XL.

Hope to get your support for our favorite image editing program! :bigthup

Is the design heat-transfer or ink printed? If they are the later, I'll order a tee.

Happy to support. Like the back image, not so much the front logotype.
could be something more that just a simple typography

I'll have one if we can do a money transfer. Also is that a flat shipping fee to Australia?

Still working on the wording but i think this will change to GIMP development team to distribute as they see fit.
Quote:
The GIMP development team needs your help raising funds to keep your favorite FREE image manipulation program coming with better and better versions. ALL funds will go to the GIMP development team to distribute as they see fit to develop better code for GIMP the GNU Image Program.

Originally i was thinking to help the students work with time they spend with developing code for their projects.

How do you think this should be worded Saulgoode?
I am definitely open to suggestions.

Also at this time the funds would go directly into my PayPal account and i would send the check to or transfer to the GIMP Dev team after the fund raiser is finished. I am not sure if they have a PayPal account to transfer to. I can just as easily write them a check and send it out to whomever.

I would like to also add that any thing under 20 orders and the printing will not start and all orders will be refunded in full.

I wanted to make sure those who see the t shirts know what GIMP stands for.
Any suggestions on front logo design?

I wasn't aware you made it Rod.

It's funny but 4 days ago I ordered a tee with stylized Blender logo which I designed myself.
But GIMP doesn't have a logo. Only the mascot. What I meant was some sort of splash image
which also says GNU image manipulation program.

Oh i see.
Yes i designed everything on the shirt.
Maybe the Wilbur mascot with GNU Image manipulation Program over it?
Sort of an arch layout. I definitely do not want just GIMP on the front as there were too many problems with that before. Too many ways folks interpreted that.
I have spoken to the printing company and asked them to hold off for now until the design in front is changed.

I cut off the gimp-2.8 as that would become outdated with gimp-2.10 release.

f I were you, I'd rotate the GNU around closer to where "Program" starts now. The way stands is confusing and is more likely to be read "Program GNU Image Manipulation".

Looks like i would have to have the t sent to me and then i could send it to you. They do not ship outside the USA.

I am working with the printing company to ask for all needed shipping costs for orders outside USA and they will send me those funds to go towards shipping fees when i send them out to non USA orders.

They won't ship outside USA but i could. :)

I think that's a nice front logo design, but...very hard to see the words in that color. If the color was light and bright, it would stand out and be easily readable without having to be close. Also, agree about the rotation thing, maybe even add an extra little item, like a dash or star after the word program?
