Nice work so far! I couldn't ever get the hang of doing a monochrome layer first, with color added later. It's always interesting to watch those come together, though

The only problem with this method Merrak is you almost have to paint the painting twice - once in mono and once in colour. I have to choose a time when the form is roughly there but not finished to add the colour and I will work with colour from then on.
