AnMal bought me a beautiful practical book on Celtic design for Christmas and I've started working with it using Gimp.

This is Solomon's Knot. Feel free to play with the xcf

Thank you both. I'm looking forward to being able to create complete Celtic designs in full colour.

Nicely done Erisian. I love all kinds of knots. I enjoy teaching them to my kids and my Grandkids. You can never know too few knots i say! :) Good luck with your endeavors.

Beautiful work Wallace, PegLeg and AnMal. It's nice to see others enjoying these knots.

If anybody downloaded the Josephine knot and found the path mistake, I've recreated the path now. It's in the zip attachment.

ehm...unless I posted the earlier version, I deleted the path and tried to create a new one using Alpha to selection, selection to path which of course produced a very bad looking non-knot! Are you telling me that the path was fine and I wasted my time recreating it?

I used the smooth path script on this. Because the original path wasn't very accurate, there were gaps and overlaps after running this so I needed to do some repairs.
