My first real attempt at restoring a photo. So how did I do?

You did a excellent job repairing the photo but it looks like it's been stretched a little along the x-axis, which makes everything appear wider.

When you resized the photo, did you maintain the aspect ratio?

Very good the restoration!
But ... I am with the impression that the dimensions were changed, and not kept the proportions of width and height.
In the restored image people seem less slender.
Maybe it's just impression.

I would leave the white border of the original photo.

How do I keep the aspect ratio?

When you scale your image, ensure the chain link is connected in the scale dialog. With the chain link connected, both the height & width of the image are adjusted when you change either of the values. This maintains your image's original aspect ratio when you scale.

I've done the boarders of the photo, to show what they could look like. Yet still retain that older looking quality.
