I think I like the one without the additional highlight better, because it already had highlights in the appropriate places.

Thank you and I agree about that, the hi-light one seems to make it more of a dull edge. Anyway, I agree that the darker colors of the same hue are much more vibrant. I still see a bit of ragged edge though. This is without the hi-lite

On some colors, like a darker red, you might need to increase the specular highlight intensity, which is an option I added to the script in V1.4. I bumped it from .35 to .45 in this example.

that is just about as good as it gets... Did you use the same red from mine, it looks so much brighter.

I think I might have started with a little brighter red than you did. You can also bump the saturation on the text a little at the very end.

Here is my latest adventure with this script, a new wallpaper for my phone.



I noticed there has been some talk about adding extra shine, for this I used my own Solid Colour Environment Maps
added a cloud layer above set to difference
added a desaturated noise layer set to dodge
then used one of Tux's chrome maps to create a new text layer which I set to screen.
