thats unfortunate

so as an alternative, call up the flip tool, make sure its set to path and flip your circular path horizontally
then do as described in my previous description

There is a script for circular text and it works fine except for one thing..the lower part of the text is to be read upside down...not really what I wanted. If I can just get the ALWAYS so that it can be read right way up I'd be happy

that one is slightly tricky

Image

create your path and put 'Our Best' on it
create a second path, that touches the outer edges of your text, then flip it
put 'Always' on that path

Image

its easier to do with ofnuts plug-in, because you can make the path go through the middle of the text, which means you will only need one circular path

If this is my plugin, to see the menu you have to go to the Paths list, right-click the path that will act as a guide, and then in the pop-up menu go to Tools>Text along path.

@Issabella: beautiful bevelled text !

@Marcello: the lower text is not 100% aligned but i think the whole design is fantastic !
especially like the oxeye-daisy-pattern, with the green circle and the outer bevel
best thing i've seen from you so far !

The simplified instructions are nice and easy to follow. Getting the lower one to be right I think needs to have the path flipped before the text goes onto it, which I don't know how to do. I usually just make a new arc path following the same as the circle would have been.

This is how I cheat….making a visual of the path on a separate layer and then making an arc path over it. Hard to line up perfectly but it's the only way I could come up with it on my own.

I thought I did try to flip the path but only the background flipped…Now I have to try it again, lol.
*now I know what I did wrong, I used edit layer flip instead of the select tool, duh. Thanks for steering me correctly…this is doing it the proper flip tool way!

Yes 2-ton, it was mine. I thought it was pretty clear but maybe a little confusing where the flip was supposed to be done. It has to be in the path mode to do that. Anyway, your results are great.

Thanks for the help with this to all of you. I finally got the idea happening...Found a youtube video which I'll share with you and it all made sense with that...basically the same as Molly's tutorial...but made easier because I could see what was happening. He also has a part 2 which deals with the flip text.
