trandoductin, the script I downloaded in the first post is a scm. I haven't seen any py plug-ins.

I was talking about the layerfx.scm and layerfx.py files. all my scripts are .scm files. hope that clears things up.

O, I forgot, yes, I probably didn't change the defaults the right way but it didn't use the gradient I selected, thats all.

Where did you choose the gradient? just in GIMP or in the Scripts's Options window that pops up when you run the script?

Hello trandoductin, I have the same mistakes with the last download. the error is about I don't have hardedges gradient, but I have it with the name; Frente a fondo (bordes duros) this is the gradient which the script says is missing. Could it be the error? :tyspin

Issabella,
usually one should not have BOTH layerfx.scm and layerfx.py

Hi dinasset, you say that I shouldn't have boths, but every one is in diferent folds. Do you think it can generate problems? if so. I remove the .scm? what do you think?

imo, you should remove one
but, if you remove the layerfx.scm (layerfx.py is a better filter) then run the version of Tin which makes use of the .py (the last one he created for you makes use of .scm, he says)

Thank you dinasset for your interest in my error of this script. I used the last one made by trandoductin this morning, and I got error too. I think is about the language in my gimp (as you said) as I can see the gradient hardedges, but in Spanish it is called Frente a fondo (bordes duros) I think there is the error. Anyway I haven't had any other errors in the previous ones made by him. Your Stained Glass script runs OK or the ones. So :tyspin
Hatched Font made by Graechan runs OK for me too.

what does it happen if (having Gimp open) you go to (I use english terms, but you will understand):
-Edit
--Preferences
---Interface
----Language
then you choose English, close and reopen Gimp?

I use GB, but it shouldn't matter...You should find out (after reopening Gimp) the gradient in the name the script is looking for
