Question here.

I've been playing around with my workspace, and I've settled on two views, one for detail and one for broad work. But I get kinda sick of configuring it every time I open a project.
Is there a plugin or script or something I can use to set up my workspace? My script-fu isn't up to snuff for anything shmancy.
And apparently my google search skills are lacking as well.

Franks!

The script-fu won't help much because if it can create a new "View", it cannot change it (size, position, zoom factor).

Try the Tab key (Show/Hide Docks).
Normally you only need docks briefly.

...Thank you for the response, but this is not answer to the question I am asking.

What I am asking is if there is a way to pre-configure or macro my workspace to include 2 views, so I don't have to do it manually every time.

I'm not sure about Mac but on my Win system I have several Gimp portables installed and could configure 2 differently, then open whichever one suits the task I had at hand

And the answer is no...
