I just rejoined their forum as I do not have that email address for my original account anymore...So..Was curious! Anybody here ever noodle about with it?

I've only animated in GIMP a little bit, so...Yep I'm nub n00b and everything else. xD

Also the newest version isn't good for windows yet or something, I can't have it in other words, anybody know what version to download? :S

~ God Bless ~

I have it and play with it but I haven't seriously got into learning yet.
The latest version looks like a major upgrade (no Windows yet).
More info at Libre Graphics World, Synfig Studio gets faster rendering.

Same as Odin here. I have it but don't use it much.

Toyed a bit with it too, but haven't done anything serious either at this point. It's a very interesting program though.

I just noticed Synfig Studio 1.0 is out now (April 27, 2015). It's single-window (GTK3) now and uses MyPaint brushes. I just installed it but haven't had a chance to play with what else is new. There is a Gimp export plug-in that suppose to work with layers.

The new single-window mode makes a big difference. I don't mind individual windows (within reason like Gimp), but I found the older versions of Synfig had too many to handle for a new user. The UI now looks way easier to navigate.
