Uff anytime i think to have finished i stumbled on something interesting

Very last is the effect of a double invertion

Effect is

without, would be

the ORIGINAL was

The double invertion trick is very simple:

1) invert the source image

2) apply the Stained Glass filter (there i used my version with the Merging mode set to grain merge, anyway will effect also the standard version)

3) Invert the result

I found out playing with siluettes , in particular with one with very light BG, i noticed how much different was the effect on solid black respect on solid white ,
so i tried also with images with more normal colors...

and you see the result

Uff, another option to add...I will never finish?
i started only because was looking so simple....

The good example is in the first message , here i only share how i found out:
using the filter on one image that basically was a black siluette on a very light and uniform BG

this was running the filter as usual

and in corner cases as this, of black siluettes on almost white BG the very best come by merging the 2..

One more. This is after the first stained glass application, the colors were inverted and the stained glass filter ran again.Image

I get a more readable result but because you used the original Stained Glass that ,as default give much more lighter result, and i used the hacked version that usually produce more dark images

BTW
The new code i posted here viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1414
give as default exactly the same result , more has options to mirror

viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1414

Unchecking "Thin Separator"
