Wallace, did you make the light of the letters shine out in rays or is that my eyes playing tricks on me? It's super good looking that way.

Yes 2-ton, your eyes are not deceiving you. I used the Luce plugin to make the light rays

Good idea to use spherical motion blur set to internal Wallace. Like the rays too. :)

Thanks Lyle your right on point with the spherical motion blur. :bigthup

This is an excellent script! I've tried to do this (without scripting) many times and failed. If you haven't already, you should add this to gimpscripts!

trandoductin: very nice job on that script! my laptop really can't cope with another heavy gimp script, though - do you think this would be a bit too time consuming doing "by hand"?

wallace: that's very professional looking!

issabella & oldmangrumpy: nice job both of you but in completely different ways :). issabella, yours is very neatly composed and you have a nice, subdued colour scheme and it's very elegantly framed off by paisleys. nice. then i see oldmangrumpy's colour explosion with cool special effects - nice too. so inspiring with such different aproaches to the same script.

I guess if you really wanted to you could do it by hand. Before writing the script i just did it twice to see the effect at the first render and the last render and i thought all the steps in the middle would be kind'a tedious to do repeatedly by hand.

Nice,
I just ran one iteration with ocean, and ran 30 iterations with just land (in the lastest version of script i allow from 1 iteration up to 50).

The script is addictive , been playing some more, 40 iterations, would really like to come from a dot in the distance to full size but the file size would be massive

When you create your text, you can change "justify" setting in tool options.

although i think it looks kind of cool with one side not even, reminds me of death star from star wars
