For me, the script shows up in the menu, but when I run it, I get nothing. What are the steps to make the script run and work?

did you install vector-to-line-stroke in the plugins directory and restart your Gimp

Also,
this may sound silly,
but did you create some kind of path for the script to use?

I take that back, I ran it with a text path and I got something, so it works.

It works on an active path,
you have select your text and turn that into a path.

After you created the text did you select 'text to path' to create a path

Mackenzieh - You should have 5 separate layers created by the script. If you then select Filters>Animation>Playback, a window will open and you can see your layers animated. You can then export it as a 'gif' file.

Who's script is it now? I'm going to be experimenting with some tweaks to the original tutorial that may also benefit the script.

Grachaen or OMG,
a short tutorial on how to get a background image into the animation would be great. ;)

Colors>Color to alpha, set the color to black.

Quick enough?
