May I just add my question here?
I wonder if there is a way to style the guides (not the grid, which is configurable from the settings). The guides which you draw from the rulers. They are dark blue which I find hard to see. I'd like them a little lighter if that's possible.

I don't have an answer, but that's an excellent question. It would be fantastic to be able to change the guide color to enhance contrast on different backgrounds.

how did you do the highlighting of active toolbox items ( the green background)? Did you create extra images for it? Or is it possible to define a general background colour here?
