It adds that (fine) looking text. I don't think it needs to be fancy, it's just information for people to know that it is created/edited in GIMP

And you can use the 2nd and 3rd lines to promote gimpchat.com or gimpscripts.com or even your own site it's up to you.. but the important thing is to leave the first line "Created/Edited in GIMP" unchanged (nothing says you can't change it either, it's up to you.. but i think given that GIMP is free, that's something we all can do to promote GIMP).
EDIT: Oh yeah, if you have multiple layers, script will add alpha channel to all your layers if it doesn't already have one and the fine text will be added to all layers.
My
plan is that when your images are posted anywhere on the net, it makes its way into google image searches and if people view it they'll know about GIMP...and increase our user base.
