I can hit Alt-1 to switch to image 1, Alt-2 to switch to image 2 and so on.
But is there a way to switch to double digit images? like jump to image 10 or 11?

Not that I know of.

Maybe assign shortcut key(s) - next / previous image normally unassigned. Next cycles back to the beginning after final image.

Best list of assigned keys that I know. http://clownfishcafe.blogspot.co.uk/p/g ... tcuts.html

Your short-term memory can hold 7 items. You won't remember which key is which image if you have more.

I am doing a collage that's composed of more than 10 elements.
and they're loaded in order after the first image where i use to compose on... so i won't be using my memory to select which item/image to use but i'll grab a random number generated by computer and then i jump to that image (if i can) to copy and paste from it to bring it back to image 1 to compose.

Just throwing this in as a thought. Instead of a series of open images, the same images opened as layers.

This script, re-arranges the layer stack randomly.

Maybe you extend that to show a single visible layer at a fixed position in the stack, ie show a random image.
